This interview arose out of my desire to learn about my local rugby club's history. In 1953 and 1958, Fintan captained North Kildare Rugby Football Club to two Towns' Cup victories, a fiercely competitive competition which the club haven't been able to win since.

Along with speaking about what happened, Fintan also reflected on life in Ireland during the 1950's and what it meant to be a member of his local rugby club.

Last year, I read Louise Nealon's highly-anticipated and debut novel, Snowflake, which left a lasting-impression and induced me to provide an in-depth review.

Set in rural Ireland, my novel follows the lives of two old schoolfriends, Tommy Casey and Shona Muldoon, and the impact they have on one another's lives when reuniting during the Christmas holidays.
